It’s been a whirlwind year so far. Attended Folk Alliance in New Orleans in January and started making my next record in February. For two weeks, we holed up in my home studio as well as No Fun Club in Winnipeg and made most of the record. There are a few things left to add, but I’m very excited about these songs, this team and all the goodness that is being put into this record.
This month I’ll be singing Joni Mitchell songs alongside the Winnipeg’s Women’s Jazz Orchestra in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, and I’ll be performing at Beneath the Arch Concert Series in Black Diamond, Alberta. I’ll also be taking a few days to tuck into the snowy woods and stare up at the stars for a bit.
